“The biggest challenge that we were looking to solve by engaging China Manufacturing Connect (Electronics Manufacturing) was purely how to manufacture overseas, and do it in a way that was going to protect our IP, negotiate in a foreign language that we didn’t understand, and wouldn’t even know how to go about, and also competitively source with different manufacturers and different component suppliers. These are all relationships that we didn’t have at all. The business was very fresh, we had only been operating for a couple of months, needed to manufacture a brand new product so we didn’t even know how to go about doing any of that. One thing about engaging China Manufacturing Connect (Electronics Manufacturing) is that it’s not only assisted us in a positive way at the start of our business journey, as a new start up rapidly scaling, we needed to rely on somebody to help us in that department, but moving forward it has set us up to scale. So we have a very complicated product, it has lots of bits and pieces in there, difficult to source components, and for us we needed to have a partner that has allowed us to not only rely on them to find those difficult to source components but then do so in a competitive way, not just for our needs now but also into the future.
